It is now standing in front of the main entrance – the newly acquired electric car – a showcase project!

We are part of the program “get eReady” organized by the companies Bosch, the Institute of Technology (KIT) in Karlsruhe as well as the Fraunhofer Institute. The project’s goal is to improve e-mobility in metropolitan areas and thereby investigating their potential.

We are a company offering innovative products. It is therefore essential to work in a consistent way and think in an economical way especially regarding our vehicle fleet. The electric car perfectly supplements the fleet as it is mainly used for short distances. Driving to the post office at 9 am, afterwards to a client in Stuttgart, then visiting another client in the opposite direction at 1 pm, not to forget picking up some small parts in Pforzheim on the way back. This all adds up to a lot of kilometers within one day and as a consequence, these distances will be covered by our VW Golf electric car in an environmentally-friendly way in the future. You quickly reach your destination and there is no need to drive to the fuel station, as the car is recharged directly at the charging station on our site.

And – last but not least – the energy for the charging station is completely gained from solar energy produced directly on the roof of our production site. As this roof had remained unused before, it has been utilized for efficient generation of solar energy since 2013.

Energy efficiency in our production plant has been one of our main concerns for many years. Managing energy has become one of our top priorities in the company. We are proud to make a significant contribution to environmental protection by using an electric vehicle.
